The QR Code For The Redbows Marketing Agency

Redbows Marketing Agency QR code

QR Codes are growing in popularity thanks to the use of mobile smart phones and other intelligent scanning devices. A QR code is a two-dimensional matrix barcode, consisting of black modules arranged in a square pattern.

QR codes are generally printed for websites but can also be used for text, phone numbers and SMS messages. It is increasingly common for a QR code to be printed on a poster, business card, brochure or promotional gifts. On scanning a QR code, your web browser will automatically open and display the requisite page. All that is required is a suitable print area and artwork for the QR code.

Generating a QR Code

To generate a QR code, simply access a QR Code Generator website and follow their instructions. At Redbows Marketing we use Kaya.com. All you have to do is select ‘website’, input your full website address, select the size you want and then press ‘Generate’. The image created will generally be a .png file which can then be used on promotional and marketing communications materials. Some more sophisticated packages allow you to manipulate the image slightly so that it contains your company name. The BBC QR Code is a classic example of this.
